bowling ball art - Instructions

If you're in the mood for an art project and you're looking for an inexpensive idea, you might think about mosaicing a bowling ball.

Used bowling balls are easy to find and a project like this can be completed in a relatively short amount of time. This one took about around 6.5 hours.

I've covered this bowling ball with my house numbers and have placed it to the left of my  front door.

TOP: This project adds a whimsical and fun element to my entry and also serves a purpose in identifying my house number for deliveries and such.

RIGHT: This picture shows the different sides of the bowling ball, as well as the little bird I attached.

A bowling bowl naturally has the finger holes for holding it.  I chose to position by ball with the holes up; and I'm using the holes to hold flowers or in this case, some glittery do-dads that were left over from Christmas.
