The Yalahas - Magical Garden Mirror Art

More Information:

7/08 - I currently have 5 new tops for the small and medium Yalahas.  All are different.

Colors of stained glass available at this time are several shades of blue, green, purple, red, mango/yellow, sky blue and iridized glass. I'm happy to also order glass for you.

Lines for the small and medium Yalahas are about 1.5 to 2.5 feet long. Any longer and they would tangle.

The large hubcap Yalahas can be 3 to 4 feet long.

They do appear to tinkle (help me with a better word!), which wasn't my intent, but is a subtle nice addition to their magic.

I'll be happy to custom create a Yalaha for you to compliment your garden flowers or home colors.

Small - $135

A solid 5 pounds of metal.  A pretty scroll design.  6.5 inches across.  Will hold about 6 to 8 lines, probably 1 inch wide due to size of top.

This one will be a little tricky.

A yellow bronze color.

No: small yalaha 22

Medium $160

The top weights 4 pounds and can hold 8 to 16 lines depending on how thick you want the glass. Pro. 1 to 1.5 inches.

The base measures 8 1/4 inches across.

No: medium yalaha 23

Medium $160

The top weighs 4 pounds and can hold 11 lines depending on how thick you want the glass.

The base measures 9 inches across. Lines would be 1 to 1.5 inches thick.

No: medium yalaha 24

Acquired

See Mosaic Gallery 11

Yalaha No. 24 is a bit different in that the top is open which will allow me to add 3 lines on the inside. They won't be symmetrical, but that might be neat. It will hold 8 nicely spaced lines on the outside.

Medium $160

The top weighs 5 pounds and is a thick metal. I think it will hold 12 lines depending on how thick you want the glass.

The base measures almost 9 inches across. Lines would be 1 to 1.5 inches thick.

No: medium yalaha 25

Small $135

The top weighs 4 pounds and can hold 8 lines.

The base measures 9 inches across. Lines would be 1 to 1.5 inches thick.

No: small yalaha 26

This top has a slight imperfection which will not affect it's use. When manufactured, it looks like they cut it off a bit too close to the design.

Large - $225

The hubcaps are new and it looks like this one will hold 19 lines. When hung high, you really don't see the hubcap, only the long lines hanging from it swaying in the breeze!

Weight very light which means lots of movement.

The large hubcap Yalahas hold 19 lines and are longer and quite magical.  You need the space vertically to hang them, as well as a strong branch.  I will try to weigh the one I'm working on to give you an idea of the weight.

The hubcap tops are just a means or tool to hang these great lines.  They are strong and will not rust. They are really meant to disappear.  All you see is the stained glass and mirror reflecting everywhere. Mine are 15 inches across.

For the large Yalahas, you need to plan on about 4 feet of hanging space.  So it needs to be high enough not to hit bushes below, or the heads of your loved ones!  You also would want to hang your yalahas in a spot that will get some light.

Shipping for the small Yalahas has run from $15 to $20 dollars which includes packaging fees. I usually ship UPS ground.
