The Yalahas - Magical Garden Mirror Art

I'm completely taken away with this new item I'm making.   Part suncatcher, part wind chime, part art, the sun dances and reflects off the mirror and sends sparkles all over the garden.  At night, it looks like fireflies because the lights from inside the house also reflect on it.  It's very magical.

The magic of my yalahas lies more in the effect they give to your garden, than in the object itself.  Attractive on their own, yes.  They are visually pleasing.  But their glitter, reflection, and luminescence in the garden is what makes them special.  Like the sound of a chime or the smell of a flower.

  • Custom colors can be used to compliment your garden.
  • Luminescent Opals, Accordion Glass, Transparents, Spectrum Wispys
  • I love to do custom orders so pick the colors you want at no extra charge.

Here you can see how beautiful the glass is with the sun shining on it.  The transparency and opalescence comes alive.

Title: Yalaha  Exotica

Description: #184 - #11 - 2/09

Five stained glass lines and four mirror.

Rich colors of red orange, aqua, purple, deep blue.

Description:  This yalaha has 9 lines. Four mirror and five stained glass.  I've used colors that are very rich.  An orange red, a violet purple with one side iridized, some blue green Wissmach glass, an iridized aqua, and some iridized purple ripple glass. One side is ripple and one side is like fish scales.  There is a circle on each stained glass line.  All mirror and stained glass are hand cut.

I'm working on improving my quality and have incorporated a method that in case a tip breaks you will be able to replace it, with just a bit of instruction. $140

Title: Pooh  - Yalaha 179 #8

Description: This Yalaha has 5 mirror lines. Four on the outside and one directly in the middle.  There are 4 stained glass lines of various shades of purple and Mimosa yellow. So nine lines total.

Parts of three lines in this yalaha are crooked and I'm willing to sell it at a discount if you can live with a bit of wabi sabi - (imperfection). This will not affect it's magical properties of reflecting light.  This would normally sell for $135.00. I'll sell as is for $80, plus shipping.

Some of the glass used is Kokomo Violet Opalized, Spectrum Pale Purple, and Wissmach  Mystic Burgundy Dark Blue.

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.

"Pooh," he whispered, Yes, Piglet?"

Nothing, said Piglet, taking Poohs paw,

"I just wanted to be sure of you."
