Mosaic Gallery 4 - #200 Water Bath for Flower Fairies

10/15/11 - You can see how the little birds look like they are drinking from the fountain.

The center bird is a pie air vent thing. What do you call those?

10/26//2011 - Done gluing tile!

Even though the bottom is a plum color, I think I'm going to grout in a lime green.  It will go with the purples and contrast with the blues.  The base I think I will make mostly a cobalt blue with perhaps veins of mirror.  Some red and amber marbles too.

Stopping this project for a few weeks, a small commission has come in.

This is what I am not doing.  Mosaicing the bottom!

Our helper has to be near us.

1/16/12 - Starting base today. 8/12/11 - Here, instead of mosaicing the underside, I've colored the grout and just painted it on.  No one sees the bottom anyway and it saves a lot of work. I've used a plum color.

I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn.
