| Title: Dining
Room Table #195 |
 |
7/5/2010 - We did it. Worked till
10 pm last night. Table is done. Had it not been for Dave
cracking that whip, it would have been this week.
Ready for homemade pizza for dinner.

 |
7/3/2010 - Well, we worked from 5 to 11
pm and covered the entire table except for 4 rows that I will have to
size by hand. This table expands, folds, etc., so grouting will
need to be done carefully. What a push!
My tile is a vitreous glass that has
gold and copper veining running through the colored semi-gloss tile.
See video in Flickr.com under projects
of my madness.

Before grouting.

7/2/2010 - This is my dining room table
that I bought from a friend. It is low profile, as are the
chairs; in that it doesn't interfere with the view from the
windows. It came with a table pad, which is practical but to me,
unattractive. To cover that I used tablecloths. Loved look,
but high maintenance.

7/2/2010 - I'm going to tile over the laminate
with this vitreous glass tile and grout it in a sable brown. With
candlelight, it should be very pretty. I didn't want to create
anything with a pattern. Just want a neutral palette to blend into
whatever other colors I change my mind to.
|
 |
7/2/2010 - Here I have glued the tile on the
edges. I'm not going to grout the sides and have laid the tile
side to side with no spaces. This is supposed to be done in four
days! I don't think so...... company is coming. Oh
well.....
This is really a tile setting job,
more than mosaic art.
