Mirabeau - Mermaid of the Sea

#171 - Page 5

Page 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

4/2/09 - I've been concentrating on the grass and the direction the flow of water will be taking.  Small fish that I found on some china plates have been incorporated into the grasses. Working in between the grasses is really difficult.  I think I am going to head in another direction and add some purple and reds to her tail.  I need some contrast.

4/14/09 - I'm so close to finishing!  I've filled in Mirabeau's arms, chipped out and redid her nose, and almost finished the water.  Her tail and the bottom right hand corner are all that is left.

I believe that I will grout in a sandy tan and deepen the color with a matte sealer. Hum, now I'm thinking maybe her nose is too dark!  Darn!
