3/15/05 - Finally!  We finished !!!! Walking up to the house you see this design first.

We grouted with a "buff" sand color that blends everything, rather than creating a high contrast.

Total Project: 196.50 hours.  

3/27/06 - We enjoy this piece of art every day.  Starting column work this week. 

From the garage looking south toward patio.

I chose my colors carefully.  I wanted golden yellows out toward the garden to pick up the rubeckia and Shasta daisies that will be blooming.  I put my darker colors in the back and corner where they would contrast more.

The project still isn't finished!  We've got two columns to mosaic yet.  But first, we're going to take a break, get the garden going, and catch up on the web site.

We've titled this project: 

 "Run River Run"

This piece is dedicated my brother Marc. He spent the last year of his life visiting with me while this project was getting started.  He passed away from lung cancer in August 2005.  Sis.
